Biography:
Coach James Baroni was born and raised in Delaware County and attended St. Gabriel’s Elementary and St. James Catholic High Schools, where his passion for both playing and coaching athletics began.
During his senior year in 1994, Baroni was selected to serve as an Assistant Coach by the Head Coach Tom Quinn of the St. Gabriel’s CYO Track & Field Team, eventually succeeding Quinn from 1997 to 2020, thus beginning his current tenure at Cardinal O’Hara.
Since then, Coach Baroni and his boys & girls track teams have won multiple titles, set records, and placed in many tournaments, including back-to-back Catholic League championships in 2021-22. During his tenure, O'Hara has also set the fastest 4x4 relay in Catholic League history, and more than a dozen intra-school records.
Coach Baroni has been married to his wife Carolynn since 2000, and has two children, Mia and Vincenzo, both graduates of Cardinal O’Hara High School.
Biography:
Coach, Bill Donovan, over the past several years has been able to build one of the most consist Track and Cross Country programs in the Catholic League. O'Hara is coming off a 2024 outdoor track season in which the girls team finished second in the PCL. Along with the team success of the girls, O'Hara's boys 4x400 relay finished second in the state with a time of 3:16. Over the span of 2023 and 2024; the relay of Knox, Maloney, Schikel, and Collins went on to break school records in the 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400. Donovan is also a former runner, having attended La Salle University where he ran all three seasons. Donovan and the Lions are ready to reload for an exciting 2024-2025 campaign as they hope to continue to shatter school records.
