On October 24th, the Lions hope to add another PCL championship to their schools history. O'Hara's girls volleyball program is no stranger to winning important games, having won twelve Catholic League and District XII Championships. If the Lions take the 2024 PCL title, that'll be their third in four years, having won back to back titles in 2021 and 2022. Under the tutelage of coach Bill Collins, the Lions have established themselves as one of the best volleyball programs in Delaware County. The 2024 regular season was no different for the Lions, as they come into the championship match up with an undefeated record in PCL play. During that span of undefeated play, the Lions have dropped only one combined set in all thirteen games. In thirteen games against Catholic League teams, O'Hara has won 39 of the 40 sets they have played. The simplest word that can be used to describe O'Hara's 2024 regular season is dominance. O'Hara is set to play Archbishop Carroll in this years Catholic League Championship. Even though O'Hara beat Carroll in straight sets on September 26th, they know that they cannot underestimate their competition. This years Catholic League Championship is set to be played at Gwynedd Mercy University in Montgomery County with a start time of 7pm. The Lions hope to continue their dominant season and add a new stash of hardware to their collection. The Lions will put their undefeated Catholic League record on the line in the hopes of carving their names in Catholic League history.
