Biography:

Since taking over the program, Coach Walters has helped turn O'Hara into one of the most successful in the area. The list of accomplishments in her first six seasons is extensive. O'Hara's championship hardware in that time consists of three girls Catholic League championships, two girls district titles, and three boys district titles. From 2021-2023, O'Hara's girls swim team won three consecutive league championships. Not to be out done, the boys team also won three consecutive district titles from 2022-present. In Walters first season, the Lady Lions finished sixth in the league. Since then, they haven't finished any lower than third. O'Hara has also sent a boy swimmer to states every year since 2018. Not only does Coach Walters pride herself on creating a winning culture within her program, but she also tries to create an environment that allows for swimmers to have a memorable experience. It is important to Walters that her athletes enjoy being apart of her program, there's a point of emphasis within O'Hara's program that winning doesn't also mean having to sacrifice happiness. As the 2024-2025 season approaches, Walters and the Lions gear up for another season that is bond to be filled with accomplishments.
