General Info:

• Coed
• JV & Varsity Teams
• Head Coach: John Caramanico
• Varsity roster consists of 10-12 athletes.
• Lions compete in the Philadelphia Catholic League.
• Varsity schedules consist of 14 leagues matches and 4-8 non-league matches.
• JV roster consists of 8 players.
• JV allows athletes to improve their skills while also competing in matches.

Pre-Tryout Requirements:

• An up-to-date physical submitted to Family ID.
• USGA Handicaps are not required to try out but highly recommended. 
• The following handicaps are suggested targets for qualifying for the O’Hara Golf Team. Freshman: 15.0, Sophomore: 13.0, Junior: 8.0, Senior: 5.0.

Tryout Information:

• Tryouts will be two 9-hole rounds on consecutive days. The best 24 players after the second day will qualify to play an 18-hole round on the 3^rd day. The three best 9-hole scores from each athlete will be averaged and serve as the primary factor in determining rosters.
• In addition to scores, players will evaluated on etiquette, integrity, understanding of the game’s rules, and sportsmanship.
• 2025 Tryouts/Qualifiers will be August 4^th and 5^th at Paxon Hollow and August 6^th  at Glen Mills for those who qualify. Tee times will be announced before July 1.
